Home Rants and Raves Only The Constitution Can Save Us Now

Once again, the United States House of Representatives has attempted to use a weekend session, cover of darkness, and a distracting news story to cram a massive piece of dangerous, unconstitutional, big government legislation down the throats of the American people. H.R.3962, the "Affordable Health Care for America Act" is nothing short of the Fall of the Republic. Benjamin Franklin said, “No man’s life, liberty, or property are safe while the Legislature is in session” and this is the perfect example. The Constitution says that Congress shall meet at least once a year, but now they are working nights and weekends to further endanger us.

My friends, there is only one way to stop this threat, and it is not the Republican bill proposed in Congress. The only way to stop this threat is The Constitution of the United States of America. There is absolutely no Constitutional authority under which either of these bills may pass. Anyone who thinks the problem is the Democrats and the answer is the Republicans, is sadly mislead. I watched for example in the recent 2009 elections, as NY conservatives cheered for Chris Christie when he won the NJ governors race. Chris Christie is a gun control advocate.

If we are to save our freedom, we must vote only for those candidates who believe in absolute constitutional government, no matter what party they are in. We must withdraw all our support for those who would endanger, or fail to protect, our unalienable rights. We must demand Constitutional Government, and settle for nothing less. And if in your area, there is no constitutional choice, you must run for office yourself, or encourage another constitutionalist to run. This is why I chose to run, and I would encourage others all over the country to do the same. It would be wise to seek nomination of the major party in your area, but do not let them prevent you from running. Contact your local Libertarian or Constitution Party chapter, or run as a straight independent. And if you are in an area, where the only constitutional candidate is running independent or third party, give your vote to that candidate, donate to that candidates campaign, volunteer your time to that candidate, for the only way your support and your vote can be wasted, is by supporting or voting for candidates who will swear an oath to uphold the constitution, only to commit treason by violating that same oath.

Focus not only on your federal elections, but also on your state legislatures and governors. We are in the midst of a Constitutional Crisis, and it is the states who will be deciding whether or not to amend the constitution, and how it should be amended. Remember that in our only constitutionally allowable form of government, it is the state legislatures who rule, not the federal government. The Republic is under attack, and weak people will not defend it. Only those with the political courage to say the unpopular things will save us. We cannot fix unconstitutional programs, we must eliminate them altogether. I understand that this will scare many voters who rely on unconstitutional programs, and I would not suggest we yank the rug out from those who have planned their retirements on social security and the like, but we must work quickly in the direction of their privatization or abolishment.

The entitlement mentality has been fed to the people by public schools, main stream media, leftist independent media, and justifiable disgust for many on the right. The money powers understand this and are most likely to further promote it because they believe it will be the only way to win elections. Let us prove them wrong. Patriots have taken to the streets in the tea party movement, they have confronted their elected officials in town hall meetings, now comes the hard part, knocking on the doors and speaking to the voters. We The People, must lead an aggressive educational campaign on behalf of the Constitution and candidates who will uphold their oath to support it.

Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.

This is it Patriots. People have been dependant on the government for decades, and this health care bill will be the straw that broke the camel's back. Those who are neither for or against the bill, are in apathy. The next step is bondage. We all have a responsibility to put all of our resources and energy into putting constitutionalists into office, because Only The Constitution Can Save Us Now.
